AQ Learning Center

Ancestral Quest Learning Center

The AQ Leaning Center provides great tutorials to guide you from the simplest tasks to the more complicated features. It is broken up into 4 categories as follows:

  • General Program Training
  • Recorded Classes
  • Training on Features Dealing with FamilySearch.org
  • Training on LDS Temple Ordinance Reservation and Tracking Systems (ORTS)

General Program Training

This area covers the all the basic beginning steps for those who are new to genealogical software in general. There are 15 short lessons on entering information, families, printing charts, importing information, exporting your family data, scrap booking and more.

In addition there is a video that reviews the new features introduced from AQ12.1 to AQ 14. Some of these are classes from various training sessions held in different locations and covering a large variety of features.

Recorded Classes

This section provides a wealth of additional information on specific features within AQ taught at RootsTech and the Utah Valley Technology and Genealogy Group Monthly meetings. They cover general questions as well as using AQ as a research tool, finding people, analyzing relationships and more.

There are 11 recorded classes in this section using different features in AQ in connection with FamilySearch.org.

Training on Features Dealing with FamilySearch.org

These training items will help an individual learn about the tools in AQ that allow you to access and work with FamilyTree in FamilySearch.org. Beginning with an overview, there are step by step instructions on syncing, linking, uploading and downloading from FamilyTree and AQ. Syncing notes and sources, adding the FS PID numbers, understanding standardized places, reserving and tracking temple ordinances.

Take advantage of these online classes to help you learn how to use the wonderful features of Ancestral Quest!

Remember Ancestral Quest is fully FamilySearch Certified!
