Windows 10 was released and with a new operating system comes questions of what programs will continue to work and what programs will have problems in the new operating system?
Ancestral Quest is one of the programs that will continue to work without any difficulties as you consider upgrading your operating system to this newer version.
Currently there are a number of individual customers who have been using this without any problems.
Just a reminder of some of the great features in Ancestral Quest:
Research Timeline: The research timeline is intended to help you see clues that will assist
you in researching your family history. This new tool allows you to see
the events in a person's lifetime. Sometimes, when you see pertinent
events that may have affected your ancestors, it draws your attention to
other resources you could look at to learn more about them.
Color Coding: There is a filing system based on four colors that has gained popularity
among genealogists over the past several years. This highly requested
and anticipated feature utilizes that concept and allows you to add
background colors to the name boxes for individuals and/or family lines.
The color coding will display on various screens and reports in AQ.
Tags: Create your own set of Tags and assign up to three tags to the various
individuals in your database. This has proved to be a wildly popular new
feature--some users cannot live without them, now! The tags display on
various screens and reports in AQ.
Fan Chart: The popular Fan Chart has just gotten better with two new options. With
the color coding, you can now generate a Four-Color Fan Chart. You can
also now include siblings in the first generation of the chart.
Remember Ancestral Quest is fully FamilySearch Certified!
Comments and questions are always welcome!
Happy Ancestraling...
